Faraday Science Theatre

Take a journey back in time to the Michael Faraday Theatre, our recreation of the famous laboratory at the Royal Institution of Great Britain in London. Depicting life in the 1830’s, you’ll find a London street scene complete with gas lamps, cobblestone paving and characters in period costumes.

Join us for an exhilarating and inspiring program as we relive some of the world’s greatest scientific discoveries. Aside from being the greatest scientist of his generation, Faraday was a master at bringing wonders of the natural world to children of all ages. In our Faraday lab, students will experience real life chemistry and physics demonstrations designed to spark interest in the sciences.

As you can see, the staff of The Renaissance Center is committed to continuing Faraday’s tradition of engaging the minds of children and adults in the process of true scientific thinking.
