Welcome

Camp Renaissance day camp is owned and operated by The Renaissance Center in Dickson, Tennessee. The camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14 years of age. Campers, grouped in crews with others of the same age, will experience a variety of activities offered during a five-day session, spent at the adventure campsite and the Renaissance Center.

The adventure camp is located on the historical Ruskin Cave property in western Dickson County. Yellow Creek, gently winding through 67 rolling country acres, and five natural caves provide the backdrop for an unforgettable experience. Campers will be able to participate in some unique offerings, in addition to the normal camp pastimes. These activities will include: rappelling, wall climbing, and zip-lining on a specially constructed 50-foot tower, swimming in the largest pool in Dickson County, skeet shooting, riflery, archery, fishing, hiking, visual arts, crafts, drama, music and much more. Through these activities, participants will have the opportunity to learn about safety, discipline, self-confidence and trust. At Camp Renaissance, emphasis is placed on activity and participation, not competition. Activities are designed to promote success at every age and skill level.

Time spent at the Center will offer the opportunity to attend one or more of the current offerings of a Cybersphere Dome Theater laser show, a Performance Hall theatrical performance or an interactive science show in the Faraday Science Theater.

Experienced and well-trained employees, volunteers and other individuals associated with The Renaissance Center, who have a strong desire to contribute to the success of this program, staff the camp. Mutual respect, courtesy, and a willingness to obey the rules is required by campers who wish to attend Camp Renaissance.
