As the season quickly changes, so does the programming offered at The Renaissance Center. Don’t miss the amazing opportunities offered over the next two weeks.

The Center is excited to offer an exclusive Guitar Workshop with legendary musicisan Pat Flynn on Oct. 10th from 10:30am-12:30pm for an astonishing price of $25. This is a unique opportunity for our community to learn from Pat Flynn, member of New Grass Revival, producer, studio guitarist and hit songwriter. Depending on the needs of the students, topics covered may include newgrass, bluegrass, studio guitar playing and songwriting. This course is most appropriate for intermediate and advanced students. Students must bring their own guitar and a recording device is allowed. This is an amazing opportunity for singer songwriters everywhere!

After opening with great reviews, The Gaslight Dinner Theatre’s production of Pump Boys and Dinettes is still running through Oct. 17th. The Pump Boys sell high octane fuel on Hwy 57 and the sassy Dinettes, Prudie and Rhetta Cupp run the Double Cupp Diner next door. Between changing oily tires and baking scrumptious pies, the gang performs a rousing, down-home mix of country western, rock n’ roll and blues in this charming tale of life’s simple pleasures. Senior matinees are Thursdays and Fridays at 12pm and costs $25. Evening shows are on Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30pm for $35. Tickets on sale now!

Adults wanting to learn the basics of digital image transfer can sign up for the Digital Photography Series: Transfer Workshop on Oct. 17 from 9am-1pm. For $30, students will learn software options available for transfer and editing, workflow, file organization and archiving.

For those interested in dance, join Davileen McNeely and Matt Stewart for an Open Dance Party on Oct. 17th. From 6-6:45, students will be taught basic dance steps ($5) and then from 7-10pm students will put their skills to use($5)!
