Renaissance Center Multimedia Department receives 3 Midsouth Emmy nominations

The Renaissance Center’s award-winning Multimedia Department received three nominations for the 19th annual Nashville/Midsouth Emmys.

Nominations were announced in November and the Emmys will be awarded in a ceremony Jan. 22 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort.

A series of commercials for Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum received two nominations while a video project for Moore Magnet School also was nominated.

Multimedia Department Senior Director Steve Hall and Production Manager Ken Tucker were nominated in the Children’s/Educational category for the Moore Magnet School project.

Hall, Tucker and producer David Van Hooser were nominated in the Commercial Campaign category for the Cheekwood campaign.

Tucker was nominated in the Camera/Short Form category for his work on the Cheekwood campaign.

The Nashville/Midsouth Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences received more than 700 entries for the 19th annual awards. The 247 nominations represent 50 production companies and television stations in 60 categories. The chapter covers Tennessee, northern Alabama and North Carolina.

Since it opened in 1999, The Renaissance Center’s Multimedia Department has now received 34 nominations, winning nine Emmy awards in previous years.
