Alexander to sign final book of Resurrection Dawn series at Virtually Unlimited Bookstore

Release Date: 9/21/2006. Expired: 10/13/2006

Dickson County author M. Sue Alexander brings her Resurrection Dawn series to a close with the seventh installment, All Rise.

Alexander will sign copies of All Rise at The Virtually Unlimited Bookstore inside The Renaissance Center in Dickson 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13.

The Resurrection Dawn series is a crime novel series that embraces Christian principles and is set in pre-Rapture Biblical end times.

Alexander describes the series as “a positive, faith-based story portraying the human emotions of characters with varied opinions of God’s involvement with their lives.”

The series follows Victoria Martin Tempest, who suddenly begins to recall events prior to her near-fatal automobile accident in 1989. Unable to recognize her daughter, Karen, or fiancé, Dr. Mark James, Victoria struggles to comprehend her place in a changed society by re-examining her religious values.

Victoria learned that her attorney husband, Jeffrey, was murdered the night of her accident and she launches an investigation, bringing in private detective George Hendricks to assist.

In All Rise, Victoria’s saga concludes as she fights to prove she didn’t kill her husband and powerful forces struggle over the issue of religious freedom.

“After completing the last paragraph in book seven, I wept,” Alexander says in a message from the author. “Over the six years of creating so intense a story, my assignment was finally over. I had done what I set out to do in January 1999.

“Victoria Tempest’s story is one of struggle on a personal level, but she never lost hope for improving the future, showing that making the right choices can make a difference in our world.”

In her message, Alexander hints that some of the characters from the Resurrection Dawn series might appear again in a new series.

The Resurrection Dawn series began with Resurrection Dawn 2014 in 1999 and continued through The Christian Fugitive, Rebels in Paradise, Veil of Lies, The Anointing and Countdown to Justice before concluding in the newly released All Rise.

Alexander graduated from Central High School in Bolivar, Tenn., in 1958 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Union University, Jackson, Tenn., in 1962. While teaching in the public school system she obtained a Masters in Education from the University of Memphis.

Over the years Alexander has written poetry, country-western and gospel songs, children’s stories, and novels. In 1980, she published an educational energy program for Memphis Light, Gas, and Water Division entitled Alice in No-Energy Land. During the 1990s she wrote and published four gospel albums.

Alexander will meet readers and sign copies of the concluding installment at The Virtually Unlimited Bookstore. To learn more about Alexander and the series, visit her website at www.resdawn.net.
