Bring a friend to Camp Renaissance, get a 20% discount
Release Date: 1/19/2007. Expired: 5/19/2007
Registration for Camp Renaissance 2007 is under way and returning campers have the opportunity to attend free through a new referral program.
Returning campers will receive a 20 percent discount on their camp fee for each new, unrelated camper who attends for Camp Renaissance based on their referral. If five first-time campers, who are unrelated to the referring returning camper, sign up for a week of camp, the referring camper will get a 100 percent discount on the $155 camp fee.
“Camp Renaissance continues to grow and last year was our biggest year ever,” said Paul McCardle, camp director. “Our biggest endorsement is from campers who have enjoyed our camp adventures and we’d like to reward them for spreading the word by offering them a discount for each new camper they bring in.”
Camp Renaissance hosted 600 individual campers in 2006, many of them for multiple sessions, and bigger numbers are expected this summer.
Camp Renaissance is a day camp for boys and girls ages 6-14 that is operated by The Renaissance Center in Dickson. Four one-week sessions are planned for summer 2007: the weeks of June 18-22, June 25-29, July 9-13 and July 16-20.
Voted among the top day camp experiences by readers of Nashville Parent magazine, Camp Renaissance enters its eighth year with exciting outdoor adventures as well as the entertainment and educational opportunities of The Renaissance Center.
Campers enjoy activities at the Adventure Camp site that include swimming, rappelling, climbing, zip line, archery, riflery, skeet, fishing, arts and crafts, cave exploration, nature studies and much more.
Part of each camp week also is spent at The Renaissance Center where campers enjoy a live theatre production, a science theatre show, a laser show in the CyberSphere Digital Theater and music activities.
Back for the second year is the exciting overnight stay on Thursdays of each camp session. For an additional fee, campers can spend the night inside Ruskin Cave and enjoy additional activities such as a cookout, stories and more.
Camp Renaissance offers free bus service to and from The Renaissance Center and the Adventure Camp site. Bus service also is available to Bellevue’s Red Caboose Park and other potential areas for a small transportation fee.
Each camp session ends with a Parents’ Night on Fridays where campers’ families are invited to tour the camp and enjoy a cookout and awards presentations. No transportation service is offered on Friday evenings and all campers must be picked up at the Adventure Camp site.
The deadline to register for Camp Renaissance 2007 and for all referral discounts is June 1. Late registration is offered June 4-15 with a $10 late fee, as long as space is available. Referral discounts will not be offered on registrations after June 1.
A $75 deposit and completed pre-registration form, available on the camp website at www.rcenter.org, is all that is needed to secure a camper’s reservation for a summer of fun.
