Renaissance Center students, ensembles, faculty present musical performances in December

The Renaissance Center presents a series of musical performances in December that will feature its community ensembles, students and faculty.

The center’s Music Department students will present their semester-ending recitals while the Children’s and Training Choirs, Community and Chamber Choirs, Community and Jazz Bands will perform their annual holiday concerts.

In addition, members of the center’s music faculty will present a special holiday sing-along.

Music Department Recitals

12:00 pm Saturday, Dec. 2

Songwriters Showcase

7:00 pm Wednesday, Dec. 6

Tickets: $5

Singer/songwriters Templeton Thompson and Sam Gay will feature the participants in their 15-week class, The Art and Business of Songwriting, in a Songwriters Showcase in the Visual Arts Gallery.

The Renaissance Center Community and Jazz Bands

Tickets: $8 adults, $5 seniors and children under 13

The Renaissance Center Children’s Choir

The Renaissance Center’s Children’s Choir, directed by Jenny Diamond, presents a brief performance in the rotunda prior to the Renaissance Players production of Annie.

The Renaissance Center Training and Children’s Choirs

Jenny Nolan Diamond presents The Renaissance Center’s Training Choir and Children’s Choir in their annual holiday concert in the Performance Hall.

Christmas in the Gallery

Tickets: $5

Put on your favorite red and green and join us in the Visual Arts Gallery for Christmas musical numbers performed by Marilyn Fair, Jeff Martin and Kelli Workman of The Renaissance Center’s music faculty. The program will include a sing-along of some of your favorite Christmas songs as well as a few Sinatra numbers to whet your appetite for the matinee of Christmas My Way in the Gaslight Dinner Theatre.

The Renaissance Center’s Community Chorus and Chamber Choir, directed by Jenny Nolan Diamond, present their annual holiday concert in the Performance Hall.
