Blair Suzuki students present recital at TRC

Students from the Suzuki class at Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music will present a Recital in the Rotunda Monday, April 8, at The Renaissance Center.

Fifteen students ranging in age from 10-15 years make up the Blair Suzuki Players. Director of Violins is Carol Smith; director of Cello is Anne Hall Williams. Accompanist will be Celeste Tuten. There are 13 students on violin and two on cello.

“The program has a lot of variety,” Smith said.

The players will perform the music of Vivaldi, Bach, Saint-Saens, William Henry Squire, Mozart, Shostakovitch and others. The program will conclude with America The Beautiful.

The recital is 7 p.m. in the rotunda. Admission is free.
