Want to show off your keyboard skills? Looking for an audience to debut a song you’ve written?

Then sign up for the Clavinova Keyboard Festival to be held at The Renaissance Center April 17. You might even win your own digital piano.

Sponsored by The Renaissance Center, Claude P. Street Piano Company and Yamaha, manufacturer of the Clavinova keyboard, the festival is an incredible opportunity to showcase and hear a diverse range of musical selections and cheer on local musical talent.

From Chopsticks to Rachmaninoff, the Clavinova Keyboard Festival is sure to offer a unique variety of music on the unique keyboard instrument featured at The Renaissance Center.

Aspiring musicians from age three to 103 can showcase their talents to the public - many for the first time - during this exciting festival held in the rotunda of The Renaissance Center beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 17.

Artistic expression, musical enjoyment and just plain having a good time are the main themes of the event. Participants may perform any family friendly musical composition they would like, even original compositions.

“Many of our music students are thrilled for the opportunity to get to play before an audience and showcase their talents on such an exciting instrument,” said Jeffery Martin, director of Music Technology at The Renaissance Center. “We expect most of them will be signing up.”

“We’re very excited to have the opportunity to sponsor this unique event,” said Jane Jones of Claude P. Street Piano Company in Madison. “This is a great opportunity for music lovers of all ages to come together and play, and enjoy each other’s music. Best of all, this festival really brings to life the Yamaha philosophy that music participation enriches everyone’s lives.”

Everyone registering to participate in the Yamaha Clavinova Festival will receive a festival t-shirt and also will be entered into a drawing for a Clavinova being given away by Claude P. Street Piano Company.
