Harmon and Bolen Perform Recital in the Rotunda

Recitals in the Rotunda is a classical music series that takes place every other Monday evening at The Renaissance Center. Appearing at 7 p.m. Monday, April 2, will be Mary Harmon, violin, and Joel Bolen, piano. These recitals are free and open to the public.
Harmon is currently pursuing her Master of Music degree with an emphasis in music performance at Belmont University. She received her Bachelor of Music from Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio. Harmon was a winner of last years concerto competition at Belmont University and performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto with the Belmont Orchestra. She is co-concertmaster of the Belmont University Orchestra, and additionally plays with The Huntsville Symphony Orchestra and The Bryan Symphony Orchestra.
Harmon teaches private violin lessons at the Belmont Academy. She is currently studying with Elisabeth Small. Harmons other teachers include Dr. Julian Ross, Patrick Rafferty and Gary Kosloski.
Bolen is currently pursuing a Masters of Music in Piano Performance at Belmont University. He received his Bachelors in Music degree from Millkin University in Illinois, where his majors were Piano Performance and Commercial Music. He has been accompanying for the past 12 years.
He teaches class piano at Belmont University and private piano through the Belmont Academy. He is a volunteer accompanist at Meigs Magnet School in Nashville and enjoys playing jazz and rock keyboard as well as playing church organ and percussion.
