The award-winning TuneTown Show Chorus brings its unique a cappella choral performance to the stage of The Renaissance Center for a July 31 show. Tickets for the 7 p.m. concert in the Performance Hall at $10 for adults and $5 for children under 13.

TuneTown Show Chorus provides family oriented, fast-paced and refreshingly different entertainment, coordinating choreography and barbershop arrangements of many favorite songs. The material ranges from jazz to patriotic, from novelty to old standards, from pop to gospel, from Broadway show tunes to country and from traditional barbershop songs to swing, and everything in between.

The group of more than 50 women rehearses weekly and since 1998 has been a chartered chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit musical organization that educates its 30,000 members worldwide to sing four-part a cappella barbershop harmony.

The TuneTown Show Chorus placed second in the 2003 Harmony Classic International Competition in Greenville, S.C. As part of Region 23, which includes Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle, the group won first place in its division and second place overall in the 2004 regional contest.

Comprised of women of all ages, the group includes nurses, teachers, attorneys, students, secretaries, moms, analysts and social workers who all share a love of barbershop harmonies.
