Halloween shows rock CyberSphere at The Renaissance Center
Release Date: 10/21/2005. Expired: 10/29/2005
Try to escape from a spaceship as the CyberSphere Digital Theater celebrates Halloween with an interactive, 3D, in-your-face laser show featuring the music of Metallica.
The CyberSphere, the four-story domed theater at The Renaissance Center in Dickson, presents two special Halloween laser shows on Saturdays through Oct. 29.
Creep Show is a family friendly show featuring classic and recent hit music with spectacular laser effects. Night Walk debuts unbelievable digital and laser effects accompanied by hits from heavy metal monsters Metallica.
Creep Show is featured at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 29. Night Walk shows at 9 p.m. Tickets for each show are $6 per person.
With new video and laser effects, Creep Show features favorite scary music from Creedence Clearwater Revival, David Bowie, Blue Oyster Cult, The Who, Will Smith, The Doors, Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper and more.
Night Walk is more intense in both visual effects and music and carries a PG rating. In the opening segment, viewers find themselves inside an abandoned spacecraft near a massive black hole. When the wrong button gets pushed activating the self-destruct mechanism, you have seconds to escape the ship before it explodes. The 3D adventure is interactive, using the push buttons located in each armrest inside the CyberSphere.
The rest of the show includes spectacular laser and video effects as top hits from Metallica hammer from the 14,000-watt digital SurroundSound system.
In addition to Creep Show and Night Walk, the Saturday schedule in the CyberSphere includes The Explorers of Mauna Kea, a planetarium show about one of the world’s greatest deep space observatories located in Hawaii. Admission for The Explorers of Mauna Kea is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children. Show times are 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 29.
