“Earth Friends Photography tries to capture and exhibit the emotions and feelings of the places and things they photograph,” proclaims the business’ Web site. “One has to learn a place before making a photograph. The right time and right light are extremely important. Earth Friends Photography strives to be sensitive to the relationship of the environment and the proper esthetics concerning structures. We try to be attuned to the nuance of a place to its overall setting.”
Earth Friends Photography shoots landscapes, architecture and products, as well as individuals within their businesses. Another service is Serene Scenes, photographs that bring a little sense of peace to any indoor décor.
The photographs will be displayed on the columns around the center’s rotunda.
In the center’s north wing for the same period will be acrylic paintings by Joan Lawler, depicting brightly colorful flowers and landscapes.
The east wing display will be Toadal Vision, a collection of photographs by Larry Safko of Clarksville showing the world from the eyes of a toad.
The current exhibit in the Visual Arts Gallery is a collection of pieces owned by artist Everett Niewoehner. The retired schoolteacher has been collecting art for more than 35 years and the collection includes pieces by Salvador Dali, Joan Miro, Charles Bragg, various English artists, African tribal pieces and local artists.
