CyberSphere Cranks Out 14,000 Watts of Holiday Magic

Come one, come all! The holidays have arrived at The Renaissance Center’s CyberSphere and the G-rated holiday shows are must-sees for the entire family.

Beginning Nov. 23, visitors will be treated to three great shows that will supercharge the holiday spirit and provide an evening of entertainment second to none.

Season of Light, Laser Holidays and Laser U2 are just what Santa ordered for this year’s holiday cheer in the CyberSphere.

Season of Light explores how dating holidays and many other modern traditions have their roots in the winter festivals of long ago. In Laser Holidays, hear the favorite classic holiday music, including Winter Wonderland, White Christmas, Sleigh Ride, Deck the Halls and many more. Laser U2 features the many hits of this band of vision, including Where the Streets Have No Name, Desire, The Fly, Pride, October, Mysterious Ways and much more.

The shows combine today’s newest technology in laser effects with 14,000 watts of digital Dolby Surround Sound in the CyberSphere. Laser lights and DigiStar, along with 3D animation, transform the orb into entertainment central.

Meanwhile, visit the CyberSphere for Journey to Infinity Fridays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and7 p.m.

To the ancient sky watchers, the heavens were a place of order and beauty. But the heavens also provided mystery and wonder. Journey to Infinity shows the wonder of it all and presents the solar system and beyond, depicting what is no longer beyond human grasp. The show is rated G.

Laser Swing shows at 3 p.m. Saturdays when the CyberSphere turns into a time machine going back to the music of the 1940s, when the world was at war. Songs include Jump, Jive and Wail, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, In the Mood and much more. Grab some bobby socks and enjoy the laser light, dancing stars and music recorded straight off of the only vinyl 78s. This show is rated PG.

Laser Vinyl continues Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and is rated PG. The show features in-your-face music from Aerosmith, AC/DC, Boston, Journey, Kansas, Kiss, Queen, Van Halen and more.

Hypnotica is an engaging display of laser light and flying stars. Music includes songs from Crystal Mood, Faithless, Prodigy, Bjork, Delirium and more. The show runs 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and is rated PG13.
