Open amateur photography exhibit set at The Renaissance Center

The Renaissance Center is hosting an open amateur photography exhibit for students in grades 7-12 and adults 18 and over Saturday, Oct. 20, at the center.
Entries are due by noon Wednesday, Oct. 17, and must be in a simple 5x7 or 8x10 frame only. The entry fee is $1 per photograph and entries should be dropped off at the front desk at The Renaissance Center.
Categories are:
- Portraits, formal, black and white and color; candid, black and white and color;
- Landscapes, black and white and color;
- Action, black and white and color;
- Nature, includes wildlife and still life, black and white and color;
- Architectural, black and white and color.
Digital categories include abstract, black and white and color, and general, black and white and color.
An opening reception to view the exhibit will be 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19. The exhibit runs for a month.
