Release Date: 8/14/2007. Expired: 8/21/2007
The Renaissance Players will hold open auditions for a community production of The Curious Savage at 6 p.m. Aug. 20-21 in the Performance Hall of The Renaissance Center.

Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick penned this warm-hearted tale about Ethel Savage, a slightly eccentric, wealthy widow who is committed to a “sanitorium” by her greedy stepchildren who want to get their hands on their father’s estate. There she meets a variety of social misfits who help Mrs. Savage lead her stepchildren on a merry chase for the money.
The Renaissance Players will present The Curious Savage Oct. 19-28. Performances will be 7 p.m. Oct. 19-20, 26-27 and 2 p.m. Oct. 21 and 28. A special lunch matinee will be presented at 12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.
