Renaissance Players set auditions for Guys and Dolls for May 15-16

The Renaissance Players will hold open auditions for a community theatre production of Guys and Dolls May 15-16 at The Renaissance Center in Dickson. Auditions begin at 6 p.m. each night and include all roles in the classic Broadway musical.

Auditionees will need to prepare 16 measures of a song to perform and have the sheet music in the correct key for the accompanist or an accompaniment CD. There also may be a dance audition and a cold reading from the script, so dress ready to move.

Performances will be July 14-30.

There will be a mock audition workshop 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, May 13, to help prepare for the auditions.

Those attending the workshop will go step by step through the audition process and should bring sheet music and dancing shoes.

The cost of the workshop is $15.
