Renaissance Players set auditions for Jesus Christ Superstar

The Renaissance Players will hold open auditions for a community theatre production of Jesus Christ Superstar at 6 p.m. Jan. 10-11 in The Renaissance Center’s Performance Hall in Dickson. All roles and crew positions are available. Auditionees should prepare at least 16 bars of two contrasting musical pieces (i.e. up tempo and ballad), songs from the show are appropriate. All auditions must sing with piano, no taped accompaniment allowed. Sheet music should be in appropriate key. If you haven’t prepared a song, you may sing from the show or something familiar. Auditionees should wear appropriate clothes and shoes for dance audition. Head shot/resume accepted but not necessary. Possible callbacks at 6 p.m. Jan. 12. There will be a mock audition workshop that includes the dance combination to be used in auditions as well as the opportunity to work on songs with accompanist at 9 a.m. Jan. 8. Workshop cost is $15.
