Welcome to your 2005 Summer Passport to Fun

The Renaissance Center is one of 17 institutions participating in the 2005 Summer Passport to Fun with special activities and events. In the Summer Passport to Fun you will find a variety of places to visit this summer, right in your own backyard. From science to art to history to theatre there are wonderful places to explore in and around Nashville.

This program is presented by Museum Advocates and the Inter-Museum Council of Nashville. Each organization works to increase awareness and support of the various cultural institutions within our community.

When Does The Summer Passport Start?

Visit these various cultural institutions between May 24 and Aug. 14. Exciting adventures are waiting for you and your family!

How Does The Summer Passport Work?

The Summer Passports are available at The Renaissance Center. Look at the 17 different institutions listed on the back cover. Visit one or all! Get your passport stamped at the Information Desk for each activity in which you participate.

What Do I Get?

Each institution has a stamp for your passport. Collect them all! Fill your book with a stamp from every place! Some have discounts. Some have special programs.

What Can I Do At The Renaissance Center?

  • June 6, 9:30 am-noon Create and play your own instrument (grades K-6)- $18
  • June 7, 4-5:30 pm Puzzle making (grades 1-3) - $6
  • June 13, 1-3:30 pm Create and play your own instrument (grades K-6)- $18
  • June 20, 9:30 am-noon Create and play tour own instrument (grades K-6)- $18
  • June 27, 1-3:30 pm Create and play your own instrument (grades K-6) - $18
  • July 12, 10-11 am Faraday Science Theatre - Meet the Scientist (grades K-3) - $3
  • July 19, 10-11 am Faraday Science Theatre - Science Around the House (grades 4 and up) - $3
  • July 19, 11 am-12:30 pm Papermaking (grades 4 and up) - $6

Registration is required for all passport programs. Payment is due at time of registration.

How Can I Win?

To enter the Summer Passport drawing, complete the evaluation page at the back of the Summer Passport, return it to the Office of the Mayor, Office of Children and Youth, Metro City Hall, 225 Polk Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203, for a drawing of free family memberships, birthday parties, workshops and admission from the various participating institutions.

All entries for the drawing must be received by August 22, 2005.
