Multimedia Internship and Ambassador Programs
The Renaissance Center Multimedia Department provides state-of-the art professional services in video production, audio production and cable channel programming. The art of effective communication - good storytelling - is the focal point of the Renaissance Multimedia Center.
Complementing these services are two programs that provide individuals the opportunity to receive on-site training in video and television production. The Ambassador Program is a corps of volunteers that are an important part of the work and mission of the center. Those interested in volunteering for the Multimedia Department should contact the Ambassador Coordinator at (615)740-5600 or .
The Intern Program provides free on-site training for university students majoring in TV production. It is a non-credit based program, however, the ambassadors and students will learn the equipment, lighting and audio on the best, most up-to-date technology available in the industry today.
That is the greatest thing about these programs. College courses prepare students for the theory, but here they get the real hands-on experience working on digital lighting boards and triaxed cameras.
Participants in either program have the benefit of learning from the centers award-winning staff of writers, producers, videographers, editors and animators who understand the importance of crafting the right message for the intended audience. In addition to this and the use of cutting edge technology to build television projects, it is all accomplished at The Renaissance Center which is one of only two facilities in this area with a performance hall connected directly with the audio and television studios.
